My hero and villain.

For the hero and villain stippling project, I chose Robert Downey Jr. as my hero, and Tom Riddle as my villain. The reason I chose Robert Downey Jr. as my hero wasn't just because he's one of my all time favorite actors, or that he's good looking, or that he plays heroes in his movies. It was more because I am inspired by him and how hard he worked to get where he is today- to get past his drug and alcohol problems that went on for years in a row- and he got through it all and stands with his head held high. Tom Riddle is a character from Harry Potter. He is the boy before he becomes Voldemort, the most powerful dark wizard ever to live. The reason I chose him is because I had originally wanted to stipple Voldemort, but someone had already done that last year, and it didn't seem very original. When I came up with the idea of using Tom Riddle and then found such a great photo of him, I knew it had to be the one. I love the image I chose of him because he has a very strange, evil look in his expression, and it reminded me of the Mona Lisa. No one can tell if she's smiling or smirking, and that's how Tom Riddle is in this picture.
